[Pearpc-devel] Tiger install DVD + Generic core

Hm... I seem to be running into trouble starting the Tiger Install DVD
with the generic core. It crashes into a kernel panic with double
character output.

This happens with either G3, or G4 emulation. While the G4 emulation
occationally crashes in a similar manner with the cpu_jitc_x86 core,
the G3 emulation core has never been known by me to crash in this
manner.

I don't particularly know what could be causing this problem. I'm
investingating further. The generic core does boot a previously
installed Tiger, so I'm looking into my AltiVec failure using that for
now.

I don't know about the crash, but the double character output is perfectly
normal for a Tiger Kernel Panic on PearPC. Actually, I don't know why I've
not reported this before. I see it in every single thread on
PearPC.netabout Tiger panicking.

Does this also happen with the 0.4 release?

yaboot no longer works either. Works with 0.4. Investigating...
